Episode 7 – Abu Dhabi Flats

We’d been back in Dubai for a few days and a day in the city was all we needed to get excited about the possibility of fishing a new spot. Nick had often spoken about this little secret flat that they had fished in Abu Dhabi. Stories of the elusive Abu Dhabi grunter, queen fish, Barracuda and other species that they had caught before abounded!
We did not need any encouragement and early the next morning we headed out for the 3 hour drive to this little patch of paradise. I must confess it never looked like much as we arrived but casting our eyes to the water and seeing a few chases we somehow knew it would be game on!
The further we walked up the edge of the flat the more beautiful this place became, flamingo’s and other bird species and the fact that we caught fish as we went, had this looking like an amazing day!
